Class of 2011
Ginette Lamberti-Lacchini
Jason is a spirited 7 year old who loves loves loves baseball. He is a NY Mets fan and wants to be David Wright or Mike Piazza when he is bigger, He was diagnosed with Stage IV Neuroblastoma in December 2004. Months before he was having vague symptoms but nothing seemed serious. He was sent to MSKCC in NYC and began treatment. Radiation, chemotherapy , surgery and antibody treatments followed for the next 2+ years. Jason is cancer free now but still has many effects of treatment including hearing loss , GI problems as well as dental issues. He still is the spunkiest kid I know however and through it all he still points out the rainbows in the sky after every rain.
We ARE 46 Mommas on a mission to raise awareness, raise funds for research and inspire others to help fund a cure for childhood cancer.
Each year a new class of 46 Mommas is inducted into the cause to empower and engage mothers of children with cancer. The number 46 is significant. On average, each weekday, 46 families receive the news that their child has cancer. Through increasing awareness of childhood cancer and raising funds for childhood cancer research by shaving our heads, we hope to one day be a group that no longer needs to exist.
