Jadyn

Sweet Jadyn is 9 years old and a three time cancer survivor! In the last three-and-a-half years, Jadyn has shown more strength, determination, acceptance and compassion than I ever thought possible of a child so young. She is my hero through no choice of her own.

Jadyn has had three major brain surgeries, 93 rounds of radiation, over three months of chemo, four eye surgeries, countless weeks in the hospital and so many pokes I've lost count. And yet she is always smiling and happy :)

Jadyn finished treatment for her most recent fight on February 17th, 2012 and is very excited to be able to come to California!

Hello everyone! :)

My name is Christie and I am the proud momma to sweet, brave Jadyn.

We were thrown into the childhood cancer world on November 13, 2008 when, at the age of 5, Jadyn was diagnosed with brain cancer. Complete devastation doesn't even begin to describe how I felt that day and, unfortunately,on two other days as well. March 16, 2010 and August 13, 2011 Jadyn's MRI's showed new tumours.

She has been through more than most people will go through in an entire lifetime and yet she is an amazingly sweet, compassionate, loving, funny young lady who lives her life as if she doesn't have a care in the world. She amazes me every day.

I am thrilled to be one of the first Canadian Mommas to be participating!! And Jadyn can't wait to shave my head, lol!!
